This video shows a leafcutter bee (Megachile wheeleri) nesting in a garden in Humboldt County, California, USA.

Her nest burrow is underneath a hose lying on the ground. This video shows the leafcutter bee bringing in pollen to stock her nest cells, and then a piece of leaf to seal the cell. Don't miss the slow motion footage of both sequences that really make it much easier to see!
