Please take part in our
2010 Survey on Stingless Beekeeping!

Aussie Bee Homepage > 2010 Stingless Beekeeping Survey

To begin the survey, click on the Survey link at  www.beesbusiness.com.au

Our last stingless beekeeping survey in 1998 showed that over 1,400 hives of these tiny black native bees were being kept in backyards and farms across Australia but we don't know how much the industry has grown in the last decade.

So Megan Halcroft of the University of Western Sydney - Hawkesbury has launched this follow up survey in collaboration with Anne Dollin of Aussie Bee.

We urge everyone to join in and help us get a complete snapshot of the stingless bee industry in Australia today. Even if a person has only one nest of stingless bees, they can contribute vital information to this new survey.

Everyone who completes the survey will receive a free copy of the article,
Stingless Beekeeping Around the World,
tracing the art of stingless beekeeping from its centuries-old origins in Mexico to modern practice in Australia.

The survey is short, easy to complete and completely confidential. No personal identifying information will be published.

The survey findings will be published here, on the Aussie Bee website, once the results have been analysed.
